Preparation of Lignin-based High Efficiency Dye Adsorption Materials and Their Performance
The industrial alkali lignin was subjected to co-activation treatment with ZnCl2,KOH,urea,and lignin-based adsorption material with high adsorption capacity(Zn-LB)was prepared by high temperature carbonization(700 ℃).The prepared material was used in adsorp-tion experiments with methylene blue and methyl orange dyes to explore the effects of dye type, adsorption temperature, and a multi-compo-nent dye system on the adsorption capacity of Zn-LB.The results showed that the specific surface area of the prepared Zn-LB samples reached 2 190.3 m2/g.The maximum equilibrium adsorption capacities of Zn-LB for methylene blue and methyl orange,as fitted through the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model, were 1 345.9 and 1 732.4 mg/g,respectively.Additionally,the adsorption capacity for methylene blue increased with increasing temperature, indicating that the adsorption of methylene blue was an endothermic process.Conversely, the adsorption capacity for methyl orange decreased with rising temperature, suggesting an exothermic process.
