Nanocellulose is a kind of green and renewable resources,and its functional application research in papermaking industry has be-come one of the current research hotspots.The functional research of nanocellulose is of great practical significance for the optimization of pa-permaking process and the improvement of the properties of paper-based materials.Based on the application of nanocellulose as pulp additives and paper surface coating agent,this paper reviewed the related applications and research of nanocellulose in papermaking process,and dis-cussed the application and development trend.
