Effect of Metal Ion and Non-silicon Stabilizer on the Stability of Hydrogen Peroxide in Chemi-mechanical Pulp Bleaching Process
The effects of five metal ions(Ca2+,Mg2+,Fe3+,Cu2+,and Mn2+)and six non-silicon stabilizers on residual H2O2 content in chemi-mechanical pulp bleaching process were studied. The results showed that Ca2+and Mg2+could increase the residual H2O2 content, while Fe3+,Cu2+,and Mn2+reduced the residual H2O2 content significantly. The calcium and iron chelation values of hydroxyethyl diphosphonic acid(HEDP)were the highest in non-silicon stabilizer, with calcium chelation value of 434.0 mg/g and iron chelation value of 243.6 mg/g.Di-ethylenetriamine pentamethylene phosphonic acid(DTPMP)could effectively inhibit the ineffective decomposition of H2O2 in the bleaching process, the residual H2O2 content was up to 4.0%,and the whiteness of the pulp was 69.9%,when Mn2+mass concentration was 1 mg/kg.
