Study on the Paper Substrate from Gold and Silver Wires on Brocade and Satin of Qing Dynasty in the Palace Museum Collection
This study selected 8 samples of gold and silver wires in brocade and satin from the Palace Museum.The paper fibric analyzer(Lunhua XWY-Ⅷ),3D video microscope and IR spectrograph were used to observe the raw materials of the paper and analyze the craftsman-ship of these gold and silver wires.By comparing with relevant documents,this paper discussed the reasons for change of material.
