Research on the Development and Application of Bamboo Pulp Cigarette Paper
In order to explore the application feasibility of bamboo pulp fiber in cigarette paper,a comprehensive comparative analysis was conducted on the differences in components and content of affinis bamboo pulp fiber,wood pulp fiber,and hemp pulp fiber as cigarette paper raw materials.Ther-mogravimetric analysis was conducted on three types of fibers,and the basic pulping process parameters for producing cigarette paper from the three fi-bers were explored.The physicochemical properties of the three types of fiber cigarette paper were analyzed,and their cigarettes were prepared.The ash appearance,mainstream smoke delivery,and sensory quality of the cigarettes were compared and evaluated.The results showed that affinis bam-boo pulp fiber could be used as a fiber raw material for producing cigarette paper.Compared with wood pulp and hemp pulp cigarette paper,affinis bamboo pulp cigarette paper had no significant difference in the comprehensive performance of cigarette ash,tar,nicotine,moisture,and total particu-late matter in the mainstream smoke release of cigarettes.However,cigarettes using affinis bamboo pulp cigarette paper had a higher CO release in the mainstream smoke,which was 0.01～0.44 mg/cigarette higher than that of wood pulp cigarettes and 0.75～1.01 mg/cigarette higher than that of hemp pulp cigarette paper.The impact of affinis bamboo pulp cigarette paper on the sensory quality of cigarettes was different from that of wood pulp ciga-rette paper and hemp pulp cigarette paper.Affinis bamboo pulp cigarette paper had a softer and more delicate aroma,with a clear aroma.Especially on light aroma cigarettes,it exhibited better aroma richness,stronger explosiveness,slight impurities and irritation,and a slightly clean aftertaste.
