Detection Method for Adhesive Thickness of Cigarette Tipping Paper Based on Spectral Confocal
To achieve accurate detection of the adhesive thickness of cigarette tipping paper,a spectral confocal detection system had been established. This system enabled the measurement of the thickness and distribution uniformity of adhesives on the surface of the tipping pa-per.By comparing the results with those obtained from scanning electron microscopy, the accuracy of the spectral confocal detection method had been further verified. The results showed that the spectral confocal system was capable of precisely capturing subtle differences in the thickness of adhesives in the gluing areas of the same sample. The adhesive thickness of different types of tipping paper had obvious differ-ence,with the measured thickness ranging from 8.7 to 15.1 µm across three types of samples. The heatmaps generated from the spectral confocal detection results offered a visual representation of the distribution of adhesives in the gluing areas of cigarette tipping paper. The co-efficient of thickness variation in the gluing areas effectively characterized the uniformity of adhesive distribution in that region, providing a quantitative basis for evaluating the gluing quality.
