In order to accelerate the improvement of independent innovation capability and promote the localization of high-end papermaking equipment,this paper critically examined the innovation model and limiting factors of China's papermaking equipment industry,and re-ferred to relevant international experience to reflect on the establishment of China's papermaking equipment industry innovation system for developing a powerful papermaking nation.Besides,targeted policy recommendations were proposed to provide useful reference for policy-making.
