Curriculum Ideological and Political Education is the process of integrating elements of ideological and political education into various courses,embodying the innovative concepts and practices of implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue and cultivating talents.This article systematically explores the ideological and political elements in the courses of histology and embryology,conducting ideological and political exploration and evaluating its effects through methods such as case studies,integra-tion methods,and discussion methods.A questionnaire survey was used to evaluate the effectiveness among 278 students in the 2021st eight-year program basic and clinical medicine at Peking University Health Science Center,with a questionnaire response rate of 89.2%.The results indicated that students' satisfaction with the course design and teaching reached 88.7%,and 84.7% felt they gained significantly from the ideological and political education.Approximately 72% of students welcomed the integration of ideological and political education into professional courses.Furthermore,88.7%,84.3%,77%,and 75.4% of students respectively experienced the influence of ideological and political education in fostering scientific spirit,professional ethics,rule of law and morality,patriotism ed-ucation and inspiration through the teaching.However,28% of students hold a negative attitude towards the integration of ideological and political education into professional courses.Furthermore,the results indicate that students lean towards ideological and political education content related to professional knowledge and careers (77.8% and 83.5%).They have put forward diverse suggestions and demands for curriculum ideological and political education.Therefore,the curriculum ideological and political education conducted in the teaching of histology and embryology has been widely recognized by students,deserving of promotion and further exploration.
