Effects of Pre-impregnation Soluble Substrates on the Bleaching Performance of Eucalyptus urophylla×E.grandis Mechanical Pulp
To study the effects of pre-impregnation on the bleaching performance of the pulp,Eucalyptus urophyllax E.grandis mechanical pulp was pre-impregnated via three types of pre-impregnation soluble substrates retention processes at three chemical dosages(NaOH 10 kg/t,NaOH 30 kg/t,NaOH 10 kg/t+H2O2 30 kg/t).The chemical structure of the three pre-impregnation soluble substrates were compared by el-emental analysis and pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The results showed that the bleaching performances of pre-impregnat-ed pulps using three processes all had a greater improvement than that of eucalyptus single-stage bleaching pulp.Pre-impregnated soluble substrates produced by pre-impregnation treatment with different chemical dosages could have a negative effect on the bleaching properties of pulps to varying degrees with different retention levels. There was a correlation between the degree of nitrogen dissolution from the pulp and the subsequent improvement of bleaching performance of the pulp.
