Related diseases and countermeasures in the chronic progression after traumatic brain injury
Traumatic brain injury(TBI)is usually regarded as an acute injury.However,the impact of TBI on patients persists for a long time and may increase the incidence of neurological and non-neurological diseases that need extended treatment,nursing and rehabilitation,indicating that TBI can also be seen as a chronic progression.How to optimize the whole course management of TBI patients poses a clinical challenge.For this purpose,the author discussed the new advancements in related diseases and countermeasures in the chronic progression after TBI,aiming to enhance the understanding and awareness of the long-term course after TBI and provide a reference for its management and research.
