Sound Information is transmitted sequentially from the snail nucleus, lateral lemniscust, inferior collic-ulus,and medial geniculate body to the auditory cortex in a process called the auditory superior conduction pathway. The development of otologic diseases is closely related to the function of the auditory conduction pathway, and this pa-per reviews the current status of research on the electrophysiological properties of the neurons in each nucleus of the au-ditory conduction pathway.
