Congenital cleft palate in children is usually associated with refractory otitis media with effusion.However,there is no universal guideline on treatment of otitis media with effusion as an important part of comprehen-sive treatment of cleft palate in children to date.In this paper,we review and summarize the pathogenesis,clinical fea-tures,and early tympanostomy tube for treatment of cleft palate in children complicated with otitis media with effusion.
