摘要
历史文化名城记载着城市历史传承与发展的信息，映射出各个历史阶段的时代特征、文化传承与人文理念，是一个地区在整个历史长河中积淀的人文生态最集中的体现，是人类文明的缩影与结晶，其特质与核心价值对城市发展的战略定位与形象塑造均有着重要的影响。如何对历史文化名城进行准确界定、科学分类与价值评判，从而更好地彰显其历史与文化特色，值得思考。尝试对历史文化名城的界定与分类提出新的看法，并以扬州为个案进行考量，解读其作为历史名城所具有的历史与文化价值。
Abstract
Famous historic and cultural city always records the information which includes the inheritance and the development. It reflects the stamp of the age, the cultural heritage and humanistic philosophy in every historic stage. It is a region which embodies the human ecology accumulated in the whole history best. It’s also a miniature and the elite of human civilization. Its characteristics and core values have great influence on strategic orientation and image mold of urban development. It’s worth considering:How to define exactly, classify scientifical y and judge the value for famous historic and cultural city, after that it can highlight the historic and cultural identity. This paper tries to put forward new ideas about the demarcation and classification of famous historic and cultural city. It takes Yangzhou as a case to consider, interprets its historic and cultural value as the outstanding representative in historic city.
