Research on the Revitalization Strategy of Historical and Cultural Blocks Based on Contextualism:Taking Shantou Small Park Historical and Cultural Block as an Example
The inheritance and activation of the cultural context of historical and cultural blocks is related to the well-being of people's livelihood,and is an important path to the promotion of the protection,inheritance and development of historical and cultural districts.In the context of rapid urbanization,historical and cultural districts not only require material protection,but also require in-depth exploration of cultural values and proposing activation strategies with the goal of cultural heritage.This preservation approach may not align well with the evolving needs of urban development.Based on the theory of contextualism and using Shantou Small Park as a case study,this research proposes a series of strategies for the revitalization of historical and cultural districts.These strategies include focusing on the overall pattern,preserving cultural features,constructing cultural landmarks,and cultivating a contextual atmosphere.The study applies these strategies to specific practices,ensuring the sustainable advancement of the historical and cultural district revitalization project.
