The Spatial Situation and Influencing Factors of the Coordinated Development of Urbanization in China
Coordinated development of urbanization consists of binary and overall relations among population dynamics,industrial development and urban landscape changes during urbanization.Based on the data of 336 cities at prefecture level and above in China in 2020,this paper analyzes the spatial characteristics of the coordinated development level of urbanization development,and further analyzes the influencing factors of coordinated development in the process of urbanization.The research finds::(1)The coordinated development degree is higher in eastern cities than in middle and western ones.The Yangtze River Delta,the Pearl River Delta,and Shandong Peninsula regions are agglomeration areas with a high degree of coordinated development.(2)The spatial agglomeration trend of coordinated development level of urbanization is obvious,among which the agglomeration degree of industry-land urbanization is the highest and that of industry-population urbanization is the lowest.(3)There is a U-type relation between economic development and coordinated development;high government expenditure plays a negative role,especially in the western regions;technological innovation has significantly promoted the coordinated development of urbanization in different regions of China,especially in the eastern region;the development of basic public services is generally conducive to the coordinated development of urbanization with healthcare and education playing the most significant role in the central region,and infrastructure having a greater impact in the western region.
