The Identification and Positioning of Parts Based on Machine Vision
In order to satisfy the demand of parts’ identification and grasping on an assembly line, this paper focuses on the key technology of image identification, and lucubrates the identification and positioning of parts. This paper proposes a method of fast parts’ identification based on multi contours, and compares the test part’ s image with those images on image library to identify on the numbers of contours, geometric fea-tures and shape’ s features on every contour. As well, this paper proposes a method of grasping part accord-ing to the minimum bounding rectangle for part’ s positioning. The feasibility of the proposed method was showed by experimental results, and it can apply to the identification and positioning of parts on platform.
