Complications Incidence and Effect Observation Bilateral Lung Volume Reduction Surgery Under Video-assisted Thoracoscopy for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Emphysema
Objective To explore and analyze curative effect of bilateral lung volume reduction surgery video-assisted thoracoscopy for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema,and its effect on incidence of complications.Methods The paper chose 62 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023,and divided them into two groups with computer randomly,with same number of participants in two groups.Control group of 31 cases was treated with routine treatment(open chest lung volume reduction surgery),observation group of remaining cases with bilateral lung volume reduction treatment under thoracoscopy.Curative effect and incidence of complications was compared between two groups based on different treatment methods.Results Incidence of complications including pulmonary infection and respiratory failure after treatment was compared between two groups,data was inconsistent(P<0.05).Lung function indicators between two groups before treatment were consistent(P>0.05).After treatment,FEV1 index of observation group increased significantly,while RV and TLC indexes decreased significantly,there was difference between two groups(P<0.05).Comparison of relevant indicators of surgical treatment showed,control group had longer surgical time,hospital stay,and chest tube drainage time(P<0.05).Bleeding amount during surgery in control group was higher than observation group(P<0.05).Effective rate of treatment in observation group was 90.32%,significantly higher than 64.52%in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Video-assisted thoracoscopy can achieve better effect in lung volume reduction surgery than open chest surgery for chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema,with lower incidence of complications,can improve lung function of patients,shorten surgical time,reduce patient bleeding with high surgical safety.At the same time,it can shorten postoperative recovery time and improve prognosis,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
