Correlation Research between Serum Homocysteine and Cystatin C in Grading of Hypertension
Objective To explore correlation between serum homocysteine(Hcy)and cystatin C(CysC)levels and hypertension levels of community patients with primary hypertension. Methods The paper chose 120 patients with primary hypertension first diagnosed and treated in a community of Guangzhou from November 2018 to December 2021 as experimental group.According to the 2018 Chinese guidelines for prevention and treatment of Hypertension for diagnosis and grading of hypertension, the paper divided them into hypertension level 1 group of 55 cases, hypertension level 2 group of 35 cases, and hypertension level 3 group of 30 cases, and 50 healthy individuals without hypertension history during the same period in the community as control group.General information and serum Hcy,CysC,and other biochemical indicators were compared between experimental group and control group.Correlation between Hcy and CysC levels and hypertension grading was analyzed, and clinical application value of them in hypertension diagnosis and disease assessment was explored. Results There was no statistically significant difference in general information between experimental group and control group(P>0.05),there was statistically significant difference in serum Hcy and CysC levels between hypertensive patients of different grades and control group(P<0.05).Serum Hcy levels in grade 2 and grade 3 hypertension groups were higher than grade 1 hypertension group(P<0.05).Serum CysC levels in grade 3 hypertension group were higher than grade 1 and 2 hypertension groups(P<0.05).Level of blood pressure was positively correlated with serum Hcy and CysC levels. Conclusion Serum Hcy and CysC levels are correlated with hypertension levels,CysC and Hcy levels have positive significance in diagnosis, grading, and effect evaluation of hypertension.
