Recent Clinical Study of Total Hip Replacement with Direct Anterior Approach without Folding Bed in Supine Position
Objective To analyze the recent clinical effect of total hip arthroplasty by direct anterior approach without folding bed in recumbent position. Methods 126 patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty in our Department of Orthopedics from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected and divided into two groups with 63 cases in each group by coin toss method. The control group was treated with posterolateral approach and the observation group was treated with direct anterior approach without folding bed in supine position. The total incidence of perioperative parameters(operation time, intraoperative blood loss, incision length, postoperative drainage flow,out-of-bed activity time, length of hospital stay),hip mobility(external rotation, internal rotation, abduction, adduction, extension, flexion),complications(deep venous thrombosis of lower extremities, pressure injury, intraoperative hypothermia)were compared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative blood loss and postoperative drainage volume in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),the incision length was shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05),the out-of-bed activity time and hospitalization time were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05),the postoperative hip mobility was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the total complication rate was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The immediate clinical effect of total hip arthroplasty with direct anterior approach without folding bed is better, and it can be widely used as a preferred treatment.
