Clinical Efficacy of Acarbose Combined with Metformin in the Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of acarbose combined with metformin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods 108 patients with type 2 diabetes with treatment time from 2021.04 to 2023.03 were selected for retrospective analysis and divided into groups.54 patients in group A were treated with acarbose and metformin,54 patients in group B were treated with metformin.The clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients with type 2 diabetes was compared in detail.Results The treatment efficiency of type 2 diabetes patients in group A was higher than that in group B,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Before medication,the level of blood glucose and blood lipid in two groups were similar(P>0.05);Compared before and after medication,the blood glucose level and blood lipid level of type 2 diabetes patients in two groups were decreased,while the blood glucose level and blood lipid level of type 2 diabetes patients in group A after medication were lower than those in group B,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Before medication,the quality of life scores of type 2 diabetes patients were similar(P>0.05);Before and after medication,the quality of life score of type 2 diabetes patients in two groups was improved,and the quality of life score of type 2 diabetes patients in group A after medication was higher than that in group B,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Acarbose combined with metformin has more outstanding clinical efficacy in the treatment of type 2 diabetes,and is worthy of extensive clinical use.
