Objective To observe clinical effect of modified Devine procedure in treatment of congenital hidden penis of children. Methods The paper chose 86 children with congenital hidden penis admitted to our department from June 2019 to August 2022 as clinical observation subjects, with modified Devine surgery without indwelling catheters during or after surgery. Results Surgery was successful for all 84 patients(2 out of follow-up),postoperative follow-up was no less than half a year.Postoperative penile exposure of patients was good, with natural exposure length of(1.46±0.28)cm before surgery and(5.30±0.42)cm after surgery. There was significant difference in natural exposure length of penis after surgery compared with before surgery, with statistical significance,P<0.05.There was no case of urinary retention after operation,5 cases of penile edema within 3 months, with an incidence of 5.95%.There were no cases of skin flap, glans necrosis, wound dehiscence, wound infection and penile retraction. Conclusion Modified Devine operation can achieve good surgical effect in treatment of congenital hidden penis of children, with fewer surgical complications, which is a better treatment method.
