Effect Observation of Acupoint Application and Electroacupuncture on Improving Pain and Joint Function of Knee Osteoarthritis Patients with Wind Cold Dampness Type
Objective To observe pains and joint function improvement effect of combination of acupoint application and electroacupuncture for knee osteoarthritis patients with wind cold dampness type.Methods The paper chose 76 knee osteoarthritis patients with wind cold dampness type admitted to our hospital from May 2022 to May 2023 as enrolled subjects,and divided them into reference group(treated with electroacupuncture therapy,n=38)and observation group(with electroacupuncture+acupoint application combined therapy,n=38)with digital table method randomly.Pain level,joint function,and clinical effect of patients was observed.Results There was no significant statistical value in comparison of pain(VAS)scores and joint function(WOMAC)before intervention(P>0.05).After intervention,VAS and WOMAC scores in observation group were lower than reference group(P<0.05).Clinical treatment effective rate of observation group was higher than reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion Combination of electroacupuncture and acupoint can effectively improve joint function,relieve pain of knee osteoarthritis patients with wind cold dampness type,which good curative effect,which is worthy of widespread clinical application.
