Clinical Study on Combination of Tegio and Gastric Tumor Vascular in tervention Embolization in Treatment of Advanced Gastric Cancer of Middle-Aged and Elderly Patients
Objective To explore clinical effect of combination therapy with gastric tumor vascular intervention and embolization in treatment of advanced gastric cancer of middle-aged and elderly patients. Methods The paper chose 60 middle-aged and elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer admitted to Oncology Department of Guangxi Medical University Affiliated Wuming Hospital from July 2019 to March 2023,and divided them into two groups with digital random table method.30 cases in control group were treated with oral monotherapy of Tegio, while 30 cases in observation group with Tegio combined with gastric tumor vascular intervention embolization.Serum tumor markers, clinical effect, life quality, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups. Results Levels of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)and carbohydrate antigen 125(CA12-5)in observation group were lower than control group after treatment(P<0.05).Disease control rate in observation group was 96.67%,higher than 73.33%in control group(P<0.05).Improvement rate of life quality in observation group was 90.00%,higher than 66.67%in control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Combination of Tegio and gastric tumor vascular intervention embolization can achieve significantly better effect for advanced gastric cancer of middle-aged and elderly patients than monotherapy Tegio. At the same time,it can reduce serum tumor markers, improve disease control rate, and improve life quality of patients further, with ideal safety.
