Comparative Analysis of Two Different Imaging Examination Methods in Diagnosis of Acute Intestinal Obstruction
Objective To explore diagnostic value of abdominal X-ray plain film and multi-slice spiral computed tomography(CT)for acute intestinal obstruction. Methods The paper reviewed and analyzed clinical data of 80 suspected acute intestinal obstruction patients in our hospital from October 2021 to October 2022,treated with underwent abdominal X-ray plain film,multi-slice spiral CT examination and pathological tissue biopsy, with pathological results as gold standard.Detection results, accuracy, and diagnostic effect of abdominal X-ray plain film and multi-slice spiral CT for acute intestinal obstruction were compared, typical cases among them were analyzed. Results Among 80 suspected patients with acute intestinal obstruction,62 were positive and 18 were negative.Abdominal X-ray plain film examination showed, there were 29 cases of true positive,7 cases of true negative,11 cases of false positive, and 33 cases of false negative.Multi-slice spiral CT examination showed, there were 53 cases of true positive,16 cases of true negative,2 cases of false positive, and 9 cases of false negative.Conformity rate, specificity, sensitivity, accuracy, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value with multi slice spiral CT examination was higher than abdominal X-ray plain films,P<0.05(with significant difference between groups). Conclusion Multi-slice spiral CT examination can achieve higher accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, accuracy, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value than abdominal X-ray plain film examination for patients with acute intestinal obstruction, can help timely accurate diagnosis for acute intestinal obstruction patients in clinical practice, and effective targeted treatment and intervention, thereby improve prognosis of patients.
