Classification Discussion of Same Origin but Different Flows in Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Synopsis of the Golden Chamber
Based on interpretation and understanding of original works of Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Synopsis of the Golden Chamber,supplemented by clinical experience in diagnosis and treatment of classic prescriptions of the author,the study analyzed and studied disease classification,syndrome differentiation methods,and treatment formulas in the literature,and compared similarities and difference between two works,and summarized classification problems of them.As a result,it was found that diseases recorded in Treatise on Febrile Diseases were mainly based on empirical evidence,and treatment was focused on expelling evil spirits.Synopsis of the Golden Chamber contained a large number of internal injuries and miscellaneous diseases,with mix of cold,heat,deficiency,and excess of exterior and interior.Treatment method focused on tonifying the body,and various methods coexisted.Two books shared the same origin but had different trends,discussed different diseases,it is advisable to classify them for inductive learning.During clinical treatment,diseases mainly based on empirical evidence can refer to"Treatise on Febrile Diseases"to classify the six meridians of diseases and be treated with method of expelling evil spirits;internal injuries and miscellaneous diseases can refer to"Synopsis of the Golden Chamber"and be classified by disease name,and treated with nourishing methods.
