Current Situation and Influencing Factors Analysis of Unmet Needs of Elderly Stroke Patients
Objective To investigate current situation of unmet needs of elderly stroke patients, analyze their correlation, and explore influencing factors. Methods The paper chose 85 elderly stroke patients in our hospital from January 2021 to May 2023 as research subjects, collected information on unmet needs and analyzed risk factors with questionnaire survey. Results There were 70 cases of ischemic stroke among 85 elderly stroke patients, accounting for 82.35%,and 15 cases of hemorrhagic stroke, accounting for 17.65%.Age range was 60-86,with average of(68.77±9.24).Evaluation results of the scale showed scores of unmet needs of elderly stroke patients were(58.67±7.38)points,life quality scores of patients were(52.42±6.54)points.The Pearson correlation analysis results showed, there was negative correlation between scores of unmet needs and life quality scores, with correlation coefficient of r=-0.402 and P=0.014.Univariate analysis results showed, age, per capita household income, medical insurance type, educational level,self-care ability, and life quality was independent risk factors for unmet needs of elderly stroke patients(P<0.05).Conclusion Unmet needs of elderly stroke patients are at a medium to high level.Clinical nursing staff should communicate and interact with patients in a timely manner based on their specific disease conditions, meet their needs as much as possible, reduce the scores of unmet needs, and improve life quality of patients.
