Objective To explore current situation and influencing factors of sensory integration dysfunction of school-age children. Methods The paper chose 703 school-age children(6-12)in Jilin Province randomly, and collected general information(gender, age, only child or not, maternal education level, prenatal education, beating and cursing children from parents regarding educational issues)to analyze factors affecting sensory integration disorders. Results Among 703 school-age children, detection rate of sensory integration dysfunction was 18.63%,positive detection rate of sensory integration dysfunction of males was similar to females(P>0.05).Positive detection rate of sensory integration dysfunction in school-age children of different ages was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Univariate analysis showed factors affecting sensory integration dysfunction in school-age children included residence of family, average monthly income, family atmosphere, parental scolding and physical abuse regarding educational issues,parent-child activities and communication and behavioral issues(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis found rural areas, average monthly income being less than 3000 yuan, poor family atmosphere, parents frequently beating and scolding children, and limited parent-child activities and communication were risk factors for sensory integration disorders of children(P<0.05).Conclusion Both family conditions and relationships can affect quality of sensory integration development of children, targeted interventions should be taken to promote their healthy growth and development.
