Effect of Laparoscopic Appendectomy for Acute Appendicitis and Influence on Levels of Inflammatory Factors of Patients
Objective To explore effect of laparoscopic appendectomy on surgical outcomes and levels of inflammatory factors of acute appendicitis. Methods The paper chose 50 patients with acute appendicitis admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to July 2023,and divided them into experimental group(n=25,treated with laparoscopic appendectomy)and control group(n=25,with traditional open appendectomy)randomly.Surgical indicators and levels of inflammatory factors were compared between two groups. Results Incision length, surgical duration, first exhaust time, antibiotic use time, and length of stay in experimental group was shorter than control group, intraoperative bleeding and pain level was lower than control group(P<0.05).Before surgery, there was no comparability in levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),and procalcitonin(PCT)between two groups(P>0.05).on the 1st day after surgery, levels of CRP,IL-6,and PCT in both groups were higher than before surgery, but elevation degree in experimental group was lower than control group(P<0.05).Incidence of complications in experimental group was 4.0%,lower than 24.0%in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic appendectomy can achieve clear curative effect on acute appendicitis, can reduce release of inflammatory factors effectively, which has fewer postoperative complications.
