Clinical Effect Observation of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Treatment of Limb Swelling at Late Stage of Bone Injury
Objective To explore clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine in treatment of limb swelling at late stage of bone injury. Methods The paper chose 92 patients with limb swelling at late stage of bone injuries in orthopedic department from January 2021 to March 2022,and divided them into two groups randomly, with 46 cases in each group.Control group was treated with routine western medicine treatment, while observation group with traditional Chinese medicine oral and external treatment.Clinical effect, pains, swelling, limb function indicators, various rehabilitation indicators and adverse reactions were compared between two groups. Results Effective rate of treatment in observation group was 95.65%,significantly higher than 71.74%in control group(P<0.05).VAS pain scores and degree of limb swelling were lower after 2 weeks of treatment, and BI index was higher in observation group after 2 weeks and 3 months of treatment(P<0.05).Swelling reduction time, length of stay in observation group was shorter, callus density scores after 15 days of treatment were higher in observation group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions including dizziness, fever and chills between observation group and control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine has significant clinical advantages in treatment of limb swelling at later stage of bone injuries, can promote swelling resolution, relieve pains, shorten treatment time, accelerate callus formation effectively, with high medication safety, which is a good treatment method.
