Results Analysis of Sewage Treatment in Wuxi City Xishan District Hospital from 2018 to 2022
Objective To analyze microbiological indicators of treated sewage in Wuxi City Xishan District Hospital, and provide reference for treatment and management measures of hospital sewage. Methods According to the"Water Pollutant Discharge Standards for Medical Institutions"(GB18466-2005)and its appendix, treated sewage of various hospitals in Xishan District was monitored for five consecutive years from 2018 to 2022,microbial indicators including fecal coliform,Salmonella, and Shigella were tested. Results Total qualified rate of bacteriological indicators in five-year monitoring results was 95.91%,among which qualified rate of intestinal pathogenic bacteria(including Salmonella and Shigella)was at a high level, with no statistical significance.Qualification rate of fecal coliforms increased from 81.08%in 2018 to 95.08%in 2021,reached its peak, with statistical significance(P<0.05).However,qualification rate in 2022 was lower than 2021,difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Qualified rate of fecal coliforms in tertiary hospitals was 95.59%,higher than primary and secondary hospitals, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Microbiological indicators of treated sewage in Wuxi City Xishan District Hospital basically meet the standards, some hospitals should strengthen management and monitoring of sewage disinfection treatment to avoid pollution of pathogenic microorganisms on external water quality, which affects people's living and health.
