Application of Orthopedic Rehabilitation Therapy for Elderly Patients with Osteoarthritis
Objective To summarize and analyze application effect of orthopedic rehabilitation treatment for elderly osteoarthritis.Methods The paper chose 160 elderly patients with osteoarthritis admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to February 2023 as research subjects,and divided them into groups according to different treatment methods,80 cases in observation group were treated with orthopedic rehabilitation,and 80 cases in control group with routine treatment.VAS pain rating,motor function evaluation,and life quality(Barthel index)was compared before and after treatment between two groups,clinical effect and psychological status(SAS anxiety level evaluation and SDS depression level)was evaluated.Results After treatment,VAS pain scores(1.9±0.3),SAS anxiety scores(35.1±0.3),and SDS depression scores(34.2±0.6)in observation group were significantly lower than control group.At the same time,Fugl Meyer scores(76.8±2.2),Barthel scores(86.2±2.1),and treatment excellence rate of 76.25%were significantly higher than control group,with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Orthopedic rehabilitation therapy can achieve outstanding effect for elderly osteoarthritis,can further improve clinical effect,promote joint structure and motor function repair,alleviate pains,and improve psychological status of patient,which is worthy of promotion and application.
