Application of Different Doses of Methylprednisolone for Patients with Autoimmune Encephalitis
Objective To explore application effect of different doses of methylprednisolone for patients with autoimmune encephalitis. Methods The paper chose 86 patients with autoimmune encephalitis in neurology department of our hospital from January 2021 to July 2022,and divided them into control group and observation group according to admission time, with 43 cases in each group.Control group was treated with small dose of 10mg/(kg/d)of methylprednisolone, while observation group with large dose of 30mg/(kg/d)of methylprednisolone.Cognitive function and cellular immune level between two groups was observed, number of complications and treatment effect was compared. Results After drug treatment, observation group had lower cognitive impairment scores than control group(P<0.05).Levels of CD3+and CD4+in two groups were significantly higher than before, while levels of CD8+were significantly lower. Moreover, cellular immune level of observation group was significantly higher(P<0.05).Number of complications including water sodium retention, digestive system abnormalities, skin abnormalities, and mental disorders in observation group was less than control group(P<0.05).Treatment effect of observation group was better than control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Different doses of methylprednisolone can achieve varied application effect for patients with autoimmune encephalitis, can improve cognitive dysfunction and cellular immune levels, reduce number of complications, and improve treatment effect of patients.However,dose(30mg/d)methylprednisolone is more effective than low-dose(10mg/d)for autoimmune encephalitis patients, with better improvement in all aspects than small dose(10mg/d)of methylprednisolone.
