Competence Current Status and Influencing Factors of Clinical Teaching Instructors for Chronic Diseases
Objective To explore competence of clinical teaching instructors for chronic diseases and analyze its influencing factors.Methods The paper chose 82 qualified clinical teaching instructors from a certain teaching hospital as research subjects with convenience sampling method,and carried on survey with self-made questionnaire of clinical teaching teacher scale,analyzed competency scores of all teaching instructors in various dimensions,and discussed influencing factors of teaching teacher competency through single factor analysis and logistic regression analysis statistically.Results Competency scale scores of clinical teaching instructors in the group were(77.06±16.07),with the highest scores dimension for clinical teaching professional competence and lowest for communication and collaboration ability.Univariate analysis showed there was statistical difference in competency scores of clinical teaching instructors with different teaching years,highest education level,participation in chronic disease education related system training,and involvement in frontline work in chronic disease management(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed,length of teaching experience,highest educational level,and participation in training related to chronic disease education was influencing factors on competence of instructors.Conclusion Competence of clinical instructors for chronic diseases is at a moderate level,and competence scores are influenced by various factors.Management departments should attach importance to continuing education of instructors and systematic training of chronic disease related content,pay attention to effect of teaching experience on post competence.
