Application Effect Observation of Comprehensive Intervention Measures on Postoperative Delirium of Some Elderly Patients with Hip Fractures During Perioperative Period
Objective To explore application effect of comprehensive intervention measures on postoperative delirium of some elderly patients with hip fractures during perioperative period. Methods The paper chose 74 elderly patients with hip fractures with surgical treatment in our orthopedic department from May 2022 to May 2023,and divided them into two groups based on different perioperative care methods.Control group was treated with routine nursing, while observation group with comprehensive intervention measures.Delirium and related indicators, adverse reactions and complications, and postoperative pain were compared between two groups. Results Incidence of delirium in observation group was significantly lower than control group, duration of delirium and hospital stay was significantly shorter than control group.NU-DESC scores for speech communication abnormalities, behavioral abnormalities,delusions/hallucinations,orientation disorders, and psychomotor delays were significantly lower than control group(P<0.05).Incidence of adverse reactions including restlessness, dizziness, and drowsiness in observation group was lower than control group, incidence of complications including pulmonary infection, deep vein thrombosis in lower limbs, incision infection, and unplanned extubation was lower than control group(P<0.05).VAS pain scores of observation group at 12h,24h,and 48h after surgery were significantly lower than control group(P<0.05),VAS pain scores between two groups at 72h after surgery were comparable(P>0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive intervention measures can achieve good nursing effect on perioperative elderly patients with hip fractures, can reduce incidence of delirium, shorten duration of delirium, and alleviate postoperative pain significantly.
