Effect of External Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupoint Application as Adjuvant Therapy on Life Quality of Patients with Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Objective To observe effect of external application of traditional Chinese medicine on life quality of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer.Methods The paper chose 139 stable advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients in Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Bengbu Medical College the First Affiliated Hospital from December 2021 to November 2022,and divided them into observation group(69 cases)and treatment group(70 cases)randomly.Observation group was treated with basic treatment with western medicine,while treatment group with basic treatment with western medicine and external acupoint application with traditional Chinese medicine.Before treatment,general indicators(gender,age,pathological type,clinical stage,first-line Effect,distribution of underlying diseases),life quality scores(life quality survey questionnaire,Karnofsky functional status scale),traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,and basic blood test indicators were compared between two groups.Life quality scores,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,and basic blood test indicators between two groups were compared after treatment.Results During experiment,3 cases were dropped out,and 136 effective cases were ultimately included(66 in observation group and 70 in treatment group).There was no significant statistical difference in results of various indicators between two groups before treatment.After treatment,life quality scores and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of treatment group were significantly better than observation group(P<0.05).Both groups showed no significant toxic side effect before and after treatment,and blood test results were normal,indicating safe effect of external acupoint application method of traditional Chinese medicine.Conclusion External application of traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application therapy can improve clinical symptoms and life quality of advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients and effectively.
