Application Effect and Safety Analysis of Multifocal Aspherical Intraocular Lenses for Elderly Cataract Surgery Patients
Objective To study application effect and safety of multifocal aspherical intraocular lenses for elderly cataract surgery patients. Methods The paper chose 94 elderly cataract surgery patients in our hospital from October 2021 to May 2023 as research subjects, and divided them into two groups based on different types of implanted lenses.Control group and observation group was implanted with single focus spherical intraocular lenses and multi focus aspherical intraocular lenses, with 47 cases in each group.Treatment outcomes were compared between two groups. Results Naked eye near and far vision,as well as the best corrected near and far vision at 1 week and 3 months after surgery in observation group was higher than control group(P<0.05).Postoperative corneal astigmatism in observation group was lower than that before surgery, postoperative VF-14 scores and sensitivity at different spatial frequencies in bright vision environment were higher than control group.Sensitivity at 8cpd and 12cpd in dark vision environment was lower than control group, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Comparison between groups showed, observation group had higher rate of near field detachment and visual interference.Incidence of complications in observation group was lower than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Multifocal aspherical intraocular lenses is helpful in improving vision and contrast sensitivity, reducing dependence on glasses after surgery, and improving visual quality and safety of elderly cataract surgery patients.
