Comparison of Ordinary and Plasma resectoscope in Surgical Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
Objective To analyze clinical application effect of ordinary resectoscope and plasma resectoscope in treatment of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia surgery. Methods The paper chose 60 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia with surgical treatment in surgery department of Yizheng City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2021 to April 2023 for study and observation, and divided them into control group and observation group with random number table method, with 30 cases in each group.Control group was treated with regular resectoscope(Olympus resectoscope),while observation group with plasma resectoscope(gyrus-acmi plasma resectoscope).Intraoperative blood loss, surgical time, catheterization time, postoperative hospital stay, changes in sexual function, and incidence of complications were compared between two groups. Results During surgery, intraoperative blood loss in observation group was lower than control group, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Surgical time of observation group was shorter than control group, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Duration of indwelling catheters and postoperative hospital stay in observation group was shorter than control group, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Incidence of erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, and ejaculatory dysfunction in observation group was lower than control group, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Incidence of complications in observation group was lower than control group, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Plasma resectoscope surgery can effectively reduce surgical time, incidence of complications, and promote faster physical recovery of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, which is worthy of promotion greatly.
