Causes and Prevention Strategies Exploration of Medication Dispensing Errors in Community Health Service Center Pharmacies
Objective To explore causes of dispensing errors in community health service center pharmacies mainly,and proposes corresponding preventive measures to improve dispensing quality of pharmacies and reduce incidence of errors continuously.Methods The paper chose 2300 prescriptions before prevention from January 2021 to January 2022 as control group,and 2300 prescriptions in our hospital during the same period as observation group.Causes of medication errors were compared and analyzed between two groups.Results Medication error rate in observation group was significantly lower than control group,difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Analysis showed,main causes of medication errors included 3 types of medication dispensing errors,writing errors and dosage errors.Conclusion Dispensing errors,writing errors,and dosage errors are main causes of dispensing errors in community health service center pharmacies.To prevent the problems,it is necessary to take mearuses of strengthening pharmacist training,drug management,communication and exchange between doctors and patients,flexible scheduling,improving dispensing process of drugs and dispensing error registration system,increase pharmacy drug maintenance management.
