Effect of Direct Bilirubin on Measurement of Jaundice Index with Fully Automated Biochemical Analyzer
Objective To study effect of direct bilirubin in measurement of jaundice index with fully automated biochemical analyzer. Methods The paper chose 40 patients with measurement of jaundice index in our hospital from July 2021 to July 2023 as study subjects, tested jaundice index, total bilirubin and direct bilirubin, and divided them into two groups according to proportion of direct bilirubin to total bilirubin:control group had proportion of<50%,and observation group had proportion of≥50%.Total bilirubin, direct bilirubin and jaundice index, correlation between direct bilirubin and jaundice index was compared between two groups. Results There was no significant difference in total bilirubin levels between observation group and control group(P>0.05).The direct bilirubin level in observation group was(19.20±2.25)µ mmol/L,significantly higher than control group, while jaundice index was(28.28±3.45)µ mmol/L in observation group, significantly lower than control group(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed, correlation coefficients between control group and observation group were 0.912 and 0.937 respectively(P<0.001),showing overall linear relationship and high correlation. Conclusion Direct bilirubin can have some certain effect during measurement of jaundice index with fully automated biochemical analyzer. When measuring jaundice index, other indicators can be combined to ensure accuracy of the results.
