Causes Analysis and Nursing Exploration of Postoperative Delirium for Elderly Fracture Patients
Objective To explore causes and nursing methods of postoperative delirium for elderly fracture patients. Methods The paper chose elderly fracture patients admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to February 2020 as subjects,30 cases of postoperative delirium were included in experimental group, and 65 cases of postoperative delirium without delirium in control group.Causes of delirium and nursing measures were analyzed. Results There was significant difference between two groups in hypertension, coronary heart disease, dementia, surgical time, postoperative hypoxemia, and severe pains,(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that comorbidities of hypertension, coronary heart disease, and dementia, with surgery time≥3 hours, postoperative hypoxemia and severe pain, was independent risk factors of postoperative delirium. After nursing intervention, delirium rate and VAS scores significantly decreased, while QOL scores significantly increased(P<0.05).Conclusion Causes of postoperative delirium of elderly fracture patients include concomitant hypertension/coronary heart disease/dementia,longer surgical time, postoperative hypoxemia, and severe pain.Quality nursing combined with traditional Chinese medicine pillows can alleviate delirium symptoms and pain levels, and improve life quality.
