Effect Of Etomidate Combined with Propofol on Anesthesia,Cognitive Function, and Stress Response Indicators of Elderly Patients with Painless Gastroscopy Examination
Objective To explore effect of etomidate combined with propofol on anesthesia, cognitive function, and stress response indicators of elderly patients undergoing painless gastrointestinal endoscopy. Methods The paper chose 98 patients with painless gastroscopy in our hospital from February 2022 to December 2022,and divided them into control group of 49 cases and observation group of 49 cases with random number table method.Control group was treated with intravenous injection of propofol emulsion injection, and observation group with intravenous injection of etomidate emulsion injection combined with propofol emulsion injection.Vital signs, anesthesia effect, cognitive function, stress reactions, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups. Results After the examination, there was no difference in SaO2 indicators between two groups,MMSE scores between two groups before and 1 hour after anesthesia, and E,NE,Cor,and AT-Ⅱ levels between two groups 1 day before the examination(P>0.05).During the examination, levels of HR,SaO2,SBP,DBP,E,NE,Cor,and AT-Ⅱ were higher than control group. After the examination, levels of HR,SBP,DBP,E,NE,Cor,and AT-Ⅱ in observation group were higher than control group.Anesthesia induction time, awakening time, and directional force recovery time in observation group was significantly shorter than control group. After 0.5 hours of anesthesia, the MMSE scores in observation group were higher than control group, and incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was lower than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Combination of etomidate and propofol can improve anesthesia effect, stabilize intraoperative vital signs, reduce effect on cognitive function, and alleviate the body's stress response of elderly patients with painless gastrointestinal endoscopy.
