Characteristics Analysis of Multiple Drug Use for Elderly Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
Objective To analyze the characteristics of elderly type 2 diabetes. Methods 150 elderly cases of type 2 diabetes treated in our hospital from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study samples.Based on the clinical understanding of the medication status of elderly patients and the subsequent medication status of patients after discharge, the antihypertensive and hypoglycemic drug treatment schemes after discharge were comprehensively analyzed. Results The mean number of discharge diagnoses of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes was(10.16±1.21);the mean number of medication during hospitalization was(7.23±1.61):150 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes was at least 2(0.67%),1 of 18(0.67%):131(87.33%)after discharge:115(76.67%)of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes received antihypertensive medication after discharge. Conclusion At present,in the treatment of elderly type 2 diabetes patients, the phenomenon of multiple drugs is relatively common, among which the combined use of antihypertensive and hypoglycemic drugs is particularly prominent. This fully demonstrates that the medical staff attach great importance to the medication problems of the elderly patients with type 2 diabetes, and continuously strengthens the professional guidance and intervention in this field. However,it is still necessary to be vigilant that some drugs still have unreasonable combination use, which increases the risk of drug abuse to some extent.
