Research Progress on Pathogenic Genes of Congenital Cataracts
Congenital cataract has some certain genetic characteristics,which currently is recognized as one of main diseases causing amblyopia and blindness of children worldwide.Lenses of human being are regulated by precise network composed of multiple genes during differentiation process.If any regulatory link is abnormal during differentiation process,it may change transparency of the lens,and cause occurrence of cataracts.The article reviews relevant genes of congenital cataract pathogenesis,to provide reference for further revealing close influence of genetic factors on lens metabolism.
