Effect Exploration of Praprofen Pretreatment on Phacoemulsification for Diabetes Patients with Cataract
Objective To analyze effect of praprofen pretreatment in phacoemulsification for diabetes patients with cataract. Methods The paper chose 80 patients with diabetes complicated with cataract in Pingyi County People's Hospital from May 2022 to May 2023,and divided them into study group and control group by lot drawing, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with phacoemulsification surgery.Study group was treated with pre-treatment with Praprofen before surgery, while control group with levofloxacin treatment.Postoperative macular thickness, best corrected visual acuity, blood glucose changes, and treatment safety were compared between two groups. Results Macular thickness of study group was significantly lower than control group at 3 and 10 weeks after surgery(P<0.05).The best corrected visual acuity of study group was significantly higher than control group at 1 week and 3 weeks after surgery(P<0.05).The blood glucose fluctuations in study group were significantly lower than control group on the 1st,3rd,and 7th day after surgery(P<0.05).Incidence of postoperative complications in study group was lower than control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Praprofen pretreatment can reduce the risk of complications and improve visual acuity recovery of patients with diabetes complicated with cataract treated by phacoemulsification.
