Current Situation Survey and Influencing Factors of Willingness of Blood Redonation of Voluntary Blood Donors
Objective To investigate current situation and influencing factors of willingness blood redonation of voluntary blood donors.Methods The paper chose 500 participants in voluntary blood donation in a city from July 2021 to October 2022 with random stratified sampling method as research subjects,carried on follow-up surveys and collected self-made questionnaire survey data,and divided them into two groups:willing to redonate(n=395)and unwilling to redonate(n=105).Influencing factors of voluntary blood donation were analyzed.Results Proportion of willing to redonate was significantly higher than unwilling to redonate,difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Influencing factors for voluntary blood donors to redonate included education level≥higher education,male,care and empathy＞3 points,social honor or motivation to donate blood with love,＜6-month blood donation interval,familiarity with blood donation knowledge,convenience of blood donation,better blood donation experience,small gifts for blood donation,no needles,and fear of pain,(P＜0.05).Protective factors for redonation included care and empathy scores of≥3,familiarity with blood donation knowledge and policies,satisfaction degree with blood donation,no pain from blood donation,and no fear of needles.Conclusion Willingness of voluntary blood donors is influenced by multiple factors.Efforts should be made to strengthen the promotion of voluntary blood donation,popularize blood donation knowledge and policies,and improve the blood donation experience of the general population in the future.
