Curative Effect Observation of Montelukast in Treatment of Allergic Cough
Objective To observe curative effect of montelukast in treatment of allergic cough.Methods The paper chose 60 patients with allergic cough admitted to our hospital from April 2022 to April 2023,and divided them into two groups randomly,with 30 cases in each group.Control group was treated with routine treatment,while study group was with montelukast on the basis of control group.Curative effect,lung function,clinical symptom relief time,and incidence of adverse reactions was compared between two groups.Results Effective rate of treatment in study group was significantly higher than control group,difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in FEV1,FVC,and PEER levels between two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,lung function between two groups was significantly improved,and FEV1,FVC,and PEER in study group was higher than control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Study group had significantly shorter relief time for cough,sputum,asthma,and lung rales than control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Incidence of adverse reactions in study group was lower than control group,difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Montelukast can achieve significant curative effect on allergic cough,can promote relief of clinical symptoms,improve lung function of patients,with low incidence of adverse reactions,being safe and effective,which is worth promoting.
