Objective To evaluate value of amlodipine besylate in treatment of elderly hypertension.Methods The paper chose 40 elderly patients with hypertension from December 2021 to December 2022 as research targets,and divided them into groups with lottery method.Reference group and experimental group each had 20 cases.The former was treated with valsartan,while the latter with combined valsartan and amlodipine besylate.Effect of medication in each group was detected.Results After treatment,clinical effect,24h dynamic blood pressure,and left heart function indicators of experimental group were higher than control group,with P<0.05.Conclusion During treatment of elderly hypertension,medication scheme of amlodipine besylate is beneficial for reducing 24-hour dynamic blood pressure levels,and can improve cardiac function and life quality of patients.
