Adverse Reactions and Clinical Pharmacy Research of Azithromycin in Pediatric Clinical Practice
Objective To explore presentation of adverse drug reactions after application of azithromycin in pediatric clinical practice from clinical pharmaceutical perspective. Methods The paper chose 80 pediatric patients in our hospital with inclusion and exclusion criteria from June 2020 to June 2023 for study, and divided them into two groups according to different treatment methods.40 cases in control group were treated with routine symptomatic treatment, while 40 cases in study group with azithromycin treatment.Total effective rate of treatment, adverse reaction rate, and treatment satisfaction degree was evaluated and compared between two groups. Results Total effective rate of study group treated with azithromycin was basically the same as control group treated with routine symptomatic therapy, there was no significant statistical deviation(P>0.05).Adverse reaction rate of drugs in study group was significantly higher than control group(P<0.05).Treatment satisfaction degree after 4 months of treatment in study group treated with azithromycin was similar to control group treated with routine symptomatic therapy, there was no significant statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion Research shows azithromycin is highly likely to cause adverse drug reactions in pediatric clinical medication, which is not conducive to recovery of patient, family members of patients are not satisfied with frequent application of the drug during treatment process. Therefore,it is necessary to have clear understanding of specific usage method and dosage of azithromycin, and strengthen pharmaceutical analysis of azithromycin of hospitalized children during pediatric clinical practice,to achieve rational medication and reduce incidence of adverse reactions.
