Diagnostic Accuracy of Doppler Ultrasound for Lower Limb Vascular Diseases of Elderly Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
Objective To explore accuracy of Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis of lower limb vascular diseases of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes(T2DM).Methods The paper chose 50 elderly T2DM patients with lower limb vascular lesions and 50 healthy individuals with physical examinations from June 2022 to August 2023,and divided them into observation group and control group, treated with Doppler ultrasound examinations, and compared results to determine diagnostic effect of Doppler ultrasound. Results Observation group had smaller inner diameters of dorsal foot artery, popliteal artery, and femoral artery, and lower blood flow values than control group.Positive detection rates of atherosclerotic plaques, luminal stenosis, and luminal occlusion were higher in observation group, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Based on comprehensive diagnosis, accuracy of Doppler ultrasound diagnosis was 98.00%,and missed diagnosis rate was 2.00%,with no significant difference in diagnostic results between two methods(P>0.05).Conclusion Doppler ultrasound can achieve high accuracy, high repeatability, and simple operation advantages in diagnosis of lower limb vascular lesions of elderly T2DM patients.
