Comparison of Effect and Imaging Features of CT and MR Techniques in Distinguishing Benign and Malignant Tumors of Orbit
Objective To compare effect and imaging features of CT and MR in distinguishing benign and malignant orbital tumors. Methods The paper reviewed and analyzed basic data of patients with orbital tumors with CT and MR examinations from December 2016 to December 2021,compared diagnostic value and imaging features of two examinations based on surgical pathological results. Results There were 21 cases(61.76%)of benign tumors and 13 cases(38.24%)of malignant tumors based on surgical pathology among 34 cases, there was no significant statistical difference for diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of CT and MR,(P>0.05),no significant statistical difference between benign group and malignant group in terms of lesion location, size, and affected quadrants(P>0.05),there was significant difference in morphology, boundaries, location, and bone destruction between groups(P<0.05),there was significant difference in T2 signal expression between benign group and malignant group(P<0.05),there was no significant intergroup comparison difference(P>0.05)in T1 signal,T1 signal uniformity,T2 signal uniformity, enhancement mode, and CT value. Conclusion CT and MR techniques can achieve good diagnostic value in distinguishing nature of orbital tumors.
